Toddler Sleeping Bag

Posted on | March 11, 2010 | 20 Comments

I had this idea to make a sleeping bag for David – one that would hopefully encourage him to sleep a bit better.

I checked online to determine some dimensions.  I then ventured to a local fabric shop to see what I could find.  I settled on a blue fleece and a monster print flannel.

I added the strip of flannel to the bottom of the outside, just to make the design a bit more exciting.  I also cut the lining a little longer than the outside, creating a band at the top.

I had a generic 22″ zipper in my stash, so I just used that instead of getting a truly reversible zipper that it better for sleeping bag use. I figured it wouldn’t matter too much though.
