Completed Bedding

And here is the duvet cover, shams, and a large body pillow for cushioning against our headboard. I think the mix of prints works.
The center blue/brown print is an Amy Butler fabric that is now out-of-print. Too bad – It would have been nice to get the print in a complimentary color for pillows or to cover some lamp shades. And I used EVERY LAST PIECE of that fabric. I bought exactly enough. I’ve never had that happen before.
The brown fabric on the sides is a heavier cotton. The black and white print is a heavy cotton from Ikea, as is the fabric stretched on frames as art work.
The design is my own – I just measured my comforter and came up with a way to use this great Amy Butler fabric without having to match prints or have too many seams. I thought a solid up both sides would set off the pattern well.

Between the bedding and the wall art, when I first saw this picture, I thought it was from a design magazine. I’m super-impressed. I love the vertical ovals of the orange mixed w/ the horizontal brown ones. I need to add more patterns to my life. I have too many solid colored clothes and home furnishings.

I love this, Jen! I toyed with the idea of doing a solid, but I the pattern I had ended up matching a lot easier than I thought it would. Have you ever been to Fabric.com? They still buy the old lines of Amy Butler. I think this is the same color as what you have: http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=2bb92fca-fdf2-4be4-98eb-49d321d5561a
